If I could...

...I would go back to the beach with my brother!

About a month ago I got to visit him. He lives in North Carolina just a couple hours from the beach so he took me for a day. I had never ever been to the beach before and it was
AWESOME!!

I took a ton of pictures. (Yes, everything was fascinating. even the sand.) When I got home I uploaded them to itunes and for some reason it decided to crash. In the process I lost my photos. sad. very sad. Thankfully, my awesome brother sent me some of his.

Since we went on Tuesday after Memorial Day the beach was almost deserted and we had it to  ourselves.

My brother tried to teach me how to ride the waves. By the end of the day I think I was getting it. It was fun to see a big wave come at you and being able to ride over it.  Water does weird things to you.

He took his iPhone in with him until he was about knee deep. I thought he was nuts, but then again maybe that was his defence against my splashing.

We spent almost the entire day at the beach. By the end both of us looked like strawberries. I'm sure I looked interesting the next day when I flew home.

Would I go back? Absolutely YES!!!

Do you like going to the beach or have you ever been?

1. pins of the week...

I've got some very pretty pictures this week and some neat ideas from pinterest. Hope you like them.

1. table decor...these are so cool.

I love all the jars. We have so many I know it would be easy to do.

Had never seen something like this before, but I kinda like it.

2.  outdoor prettiness...

Doesn't this look so neat with the mountains behind it.

3. wedding...

This is so cool. They hung a parachute at the top of the building, which made the canopy.

4. goodies...

...and awesome looking cookie dough!!!

5. places to go...

Heaven's Stair in China. I want to see this!!

6. paper boxes...

I thought this box was a ton of fun to make.

That's it for today. Which one did you like?

need something to do...

... on September 23rd, 24th, or the 25th?

The Medicine Lodge Peace Treaty Pageant is going on. They go through 300 years of history in 2 hours of re-enacting.  It starts with the Spanish discovery in Colorado and then goes through everything that happens after that. The pageant includes Spanish and Indian dances, a cattle drive, a stagecoach robbery, a wagon train, a hanging, Indians and the Calvary fighting, the signing of the peace treaty, and more.  I think it is a pretty good history lesson that is worth your time. You can also get a ton of cool photos. We got to go in 2006 and my brother made a neat video clip.

So, if you want more information (which you should) about the pageant you can check out their website. The pageant is held in Medicine Lodge, Kansas at 1 PM on Friday and 2 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Medicine Lodge is about 85 miles southwest of Wichita. The cost is $20 a person, unless you come as a school group on Friday. Then the price is knocked down to $5 a person. (yeah, that's a lot better.) If you do the school group you have to contact them ahead of time.

And while you're down there, you should stay for the...... 23rd Annual Kansas Championship Ranch Rodeo!   Oh Yeah!!!    The rodeo is on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 PM. Cost is $10 a person. I really don't want to miss it.

That's all I have for now. Go check it out.

5 things

5 random things I want to do...and they aren't in any particular order.

1)  Travel the world and work in a mission somewhere for awhile.
(o.k. many that is two in one)

2) Own a coffee shop

3) Go skydiving

4)  Own one of the following cars.

5) Go on a BIG long hunting trip in the mountains and get myself a moose and an elk

Well, at this point I don't have the money to do all that. I guess I'll have to wait awhile.

Mini Golf

Most of my family and I went mini golfing last week. It's the closest thing to real
golfing I'm gonna ever get.

The green ball is mine and (although it looks red) the orange ball is Dad's.
I just 4 hits away from beating him.

I think I need to do that more often...
